How do I book an appointment?
Message us on WhatsApp at +91 98666 00509 or call +91 91103 28649. Tell us your name, age and the reason for the scan, and we will confirm a time.
I have a breast lump or breast pain. What should I do?
Book an appointment for an examination and a scan. Most breast lumps and breast pain are not cancer, but any new lump or change in the breast should be checked by a doctor.
Is there a lady doctor?
Yes. Dr. Azra Begum is a female breast radiologist, and scans are performed by female technicians and staff.
What does a mammogram cost?
A mammogram with ultrasound of both breasts is ₹1,500. See the Prices page for every scan and blood test.
How soon will I get my report?
Reports are usually ready in 30 minutes to 1 hour. We can send them to you on WhatsApp or by email.
How should I prepare for a mammogram?
On the day, please do not use deodorant, talcum powder or body lotion under the arms or on the chest, as they can show up on the images. Wear a two-piece outfit so you only need to remove your top. If you still have periods, the week after your period is usually the most comfortable time.
Does a mammogram hurt?
The breast is pressed for a few seconds for each image. Most women find it uncomfortable rather than painful, and it is over quickly. Tell the technician if you feel pain.
Why is the mammogram done together with an ultrasound?
Mammography and ultrasound show different things, especially in dense breast tissue. Doing both in the same visit gives a more complete picture, so we offer them together.
What should I bring?
Bring your doctor's referral if you have one, and any earlier mammograms, ultrasound or MRI images and reports. Comparing with earlier scans is very helpful.
Can I get a second opinion on a scan done elsewhere?
Yes. Send the images and report on WhatsApp or by email, or bring them to the centre. Dr. Azra can review them, including by teleconsultation.
Do you tell the sex of the baby during pregnancy scans?
Sex determination of the foetus is not done here. It is punishable under the PC & PNDT Act, 1994.
